About Heidi

Good Mood Food was born from my obsession with plant based recipes, cookbooks, menu planning and cooking. I started this lifestyle in 1981 and love sharing how surprisingly tasty plants – especially vegetables – can be in place of meat, dairy and eggs. The flavor combinations and textures never end and hearing how much better my clients feel is the biggest blessing. I cook with passion and creativity and have been told you can taste it! 

My goal is to share labor intensive meals to enjoy on your schedule – roasted veggies, beans from scratch, vegetable lasagna, multi-ingredient casseroles, specialty toppings, all with fresh homemade sauces and condiments. Ingredients are exactly as I use for my own family, organic preferred and avoiding the Environmental Working Group’s “dirty dozen.”

Although largely self taught, I have taken many vegetarian cooking classes including a course at Saddleback College. ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification #18672546. When not cooking or thinking about food, I enjoy foodie events, exercise, and spending time with my family and doggie.
